Description
As part of the Camden Art Centre exhibition The Botanical Mind: Art, Mysticism and the Cosmic Tree, I have recorded a meditation written by artist Gemma Anderson, to which I have added some useful hypnosis elements.
This was a fun project, I have never worked as a voice over artist for someone else script, and even as a hypnotherapist, I do not work with scripts as I create my hypnosis session as I go, specifically weaving together the elements that feel important and relevant to the person or to the group.
This is a beautiful meditation that guides the listener to exercise their capacity to observe, imagine and connect with a living plant form. Even though it focuses on a plant, you can try this with another material. You can also draw or write or use another medium after the meditation to bring through your inner experience. It is about 25 mins long and it will be easier to do with your eyes closed, though gestures and drawings in the air can help.
Gemma Anderson
Description
Gemma Anderson is an artist and researcher based at the University of Exeter. She collaborates with John Dupré, a philosopher of science, and James Wakefield, a cell-biologist, and she is investigating image-making practices aimed at creating better intuitively dynamic representations of living systems as a coming together of art, biology and philosophy.
